* Financial performance data is presented in Charts 1 through 5, which segment 86 franchised territories into five quintiles based on Gross Revenues. Each of the first four quintiles contains 17 territories, and the fifth quintile contains 18 territories. Average Gross Revenue was calculated as a weighted average of the 'Average' Gross Revenues across all five quintiles: (17 * $1,167,376 + 17 * $653,469 + 17 * $494,885 + 17 * $376,506 + 18 * $229,521) / 86 = $580,225.47. Median Gross Revenue was taken from the 'Median' Gross Revenue of Quintile Three ($485,936), as the overall median (43rd-44th unit out of 86) falls within this quintile. Revenue Top Quartile was taken from the 'Average' Gross Revenue of Quintile One (top 17 territories out of 86, approximately top 19.7%), which is $1,167,376. Revenue Bottom Quartile was taken from the 'Average' Gross Revenue of Quintile Five (bottom 18 territories out of 86, approximately bottom 20.9%), which is $229,521. 'Gross Margin $' is provided as a profit metric (Revenues less Total Cost of Sales). Best Guess Profit Low was calculated as a weighted average of the 'Low' Gross Margin $ values across all five quintiles: (17 * $464,555 + 17 * $287,602 + 17 * $238,717 + 17 * $182,227 + 18 * $10,174) / 86 = $234,021.50.
